Fernando M Diaz has more than 50 individual exhibitions, half of them in museums. He has also participated in more than 100 group shows around the world. There is an individual exhibition called Leviathan at the Carlos Mérida National Museum of Modern Art in Guatemala City. His most recent group exhibition is in Kazanluk, Bulgaria.

His work belongs to both private and public collections. Examples of the latter are being displayed in the José Luis Cuevas Museum in Mexico City; the Vladimir Cora House Museum in Nayarit, Mexico; the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art; the Municipal Gallery and the National Library, both in Romania; the Museum of Modern Art of Cuenca, Ecuador; among many others.
His plastic work has been addressed in a dozen books, such as: Fernando M. Diaz from Editorial Ariadna 2017; by the poet Dionisio Morales, published by the UNAM in Mexico in 1987. Fernando M Diaz has also received texts by poet Héctor Carreto, painter Fanny Rabel and the Mexican artist José Luis Cuevas, just to mention a few.
Fernando M Diaz is a graduate of the historic National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving known as La Esmeralda of the INBA. He specialized in drawing at the Atellier Latino in San Francisco, CA as a specialty course, which he has also taught in main educational institutions in Mexico such as UNAM, UIA, INBA, and others.
